Bit by bit I am getting my kit together ready to go All Grain   I dont have much at the moment, other than at 28L thermos coolbox, and a 33l baby burco.

I think I will try the BIAB method first of all, so I am after a suitable grain bag. I have found a few and am wondering what peoples opinions are on the following, as I am not really too sure what I should be looking for size wise:

And this which would need sewing (will any string do for this?)

Also I would like to replace the tap on the baby burco as I can see it being a bit difficult to drain out the wort, I dont want to have to weld anything though if I can help it. I have been looking on screwfix at the different ball valves they sell, but again, I am not too sure which one I should be going for, I would also like to get one for my cool box for when I convert this to a mash tun, so also need a bit of advice on this too if possible. :? looking at the list on the link below, I dont know if I will need 15mm or 22mm? or anything else to get it to all fit together

As for the mash tun manifold, I am not sure if I should make one out of copper/plastic tubing, or get one of the bazooka ones that seem to just screw on, I dont really know if one has more of an advantage over the other.

I thought I had everything worked out, until I started reading various threads and looking at different videos, now I dont really know what to do :wha: so any help would be fantastic as I really want to get my first batch on the go soon

Cheers :thumb:

firstly, i do a BIAB style just so i can scoop the grains out easy in a coolbox and never bothered sowing but yeah any sting will do-a sowing machine will be required- OR just leave it open and secure with clothes pegs-

second with BIAB do what i did get a tank connector with a rubber washer-hollow out annoying inner lip, mallet through a bit of 15mm copper tube and connect a bit of a shower hose connector to the other end of the pipe- suitablely doctored leaving enough inner rubber so that when bent will touch bottom of coolbox for siphon effect(will also fit with a wrench if get 15mm)- finally on the end of the tube sticking out the coolbox(selaed by the tank connector put the ball valve- again 15mm is best)

simples-any qs pm me and i can probably sort u out :)
