Pitched at too high a temp - options

Hi,

I've just done my first home brew and I stupidly pitched the yeast too early. I'm not sure on the exact temperature but I'd guess it was mid 30's (C).

It is now down to a more sensible temperature but I'm concerned it might be too late.

Would it help if I added some more yeast now that it's down to the right temperature?

Any advice appreciated.

Is it fermenting? If so its fine. If it hasn't stared by the morning, repitch a beer yeast :)

What type of brew is it?

I would think you would be struggling to get that temp with a kit if you followed the instructions.

If the yest has survived, as long you keep it between 19 and 21c it will be fine. Above 21c especially during the first 24 hrs when the yeast is multiplying you may get off flavours namely solventy fusal alcohols which give hangovers.

As said above if it hadn't taken repitch with a new yeast at between 19-21c.

It's an all grain, TTL clone.

I should have taken my time with it but was rushing around trying to get everything done while the daylight was quickly fading.
