going to be trying some of this hop extract from Botanix Limited

The dose rate of 10ml per hl is a starting point and depending on the beer can be higher (or occasionally lower)

so quite a few brews can be done with a full litre

getting a wee sample sent to try out from Botanix Limited
so when i get addicted to it it'll be 55 quid a litre

any one used it yet?

I think this is the stuff Rob (MM) brought to one of the spring things, dissolved at the correct rate in water for sampling. I was very impressed with it personally, thinking to myself a small amount as bottling would enliven the result no end. I'll be interested to see what you think.

Looking at the product sheet i dont think i would ever finish one at my current brewing rate,

9 gallon cask = 72 pints = approx. 41 litres; at 10 ml per hl this equates to approx. 4 ml per
cask

I have previously done 40L batches and they last me about 3-4 months of drinking. So at four batches a year one Litre would last me roughly 60 years .

i am getting a free sample so never know might get 20ml or so

did an experiment today with it

the remaining 4 and a half litres of red dunkle left in my bottling bucket i added 1 ML of citrucy hop oil which is the dose for 10 litres[we will see :D ]and by eck that smells interesting
put it in stirred not letting air in waited 20 mins then bottled that
so a super hoppy dunkle
which is not meant to be hoppy
anyway only 9 x 500ML bottles to see how much it changes it
hopefully wont spoil it
now i have a hoppy banana dunkle or 2 to try
i have put in double the recommended amount but you try to measure out half a mill
:drink:
