Party Star Deluxe Tap For Mini Kegs

Recently got the Party Star tap for my mini kegs, when i ordered it also ordered some spare 16gm Co2 cartridges everything arrived in quick time, but the spare cartridges have got the threaded ends, have seen a video online that say not to use the threaded cartridges is that the case?. Didnt want the hassle of sending the spare cartridges back in case i can use them
