I bought some pale crystal malt when I meant to buy Crystal malt can I use it in the same recipe? Or should I wait till I have a recipe that calls for it?
It will add a slightly different toffee flavour - more light caramel than burned, toasty flavours etc - you can use it, it's nice in light ales, but it won't darken the beer much or add quite the same flavour.
