A simple pale ale for tomorrow to use up some First Gold and Nelson Sauvin, which I think will be good together.

Brew length 23L; efficiency 75% (using Crisps MO)

4475g Maris Otter (96%)
186g Pale Crystal (4%)

45g First Gold AA 7.9% 90mins
15g Nelson Sauvin AA 12.3% 15mins
20g Nelson Sauvin AA 12.3% 30mins steep at flameout at 80C

Mash 66C for 90mins; boil 90mins
Yeast WLP007 (2.5L starter)

OG 1048; FG 1010; ABV 5%; EBC 12.8; IBU (Tinseth) 46.1
CaCO3 to 30ppm; Ca to 180ppm with CaSO4

Good luck on your brew...I just put a mash on tonight for a start tomorrow morning

We can keep each other company  , I won't be starting till late morning

SWMBO is not going out till mid morning, plus I'm also supposed to be working

Hopefully will be good. I did Aleman's Summer Ale with Styrians and Nelson Sauvin and John Alexanders Heritage Pale Ale with First Gold and Styrians, both excellent beers, so I thought I'd try this.

First gold and Nelson Sauvin, sounds interesting, let us know how this one turns out.
Yesterday I bottled a similar recipe which used Northern Brewer to bitter then Nelson Sauvin. Smells gorgeous :thumb: I have great hopes for this one.
