Out of date beer

Hi all
My son came round today and give me a 40pint Thomas coopers pilsner
Asked if it would be any good to me.
When he went I had a look at it and noticed that the best before date is 21/06/14. So my question is would this still brew or is tat a silly question.

P.S asked him were did he get it from. he got it and left it in is garage for got about it

I predict it will turn out more like a bitter.
But you won't really know until you try
