Im curious; apart from brewing delicious concoctions what other hobbies do people have?

Mrs Hagrid says I have one hobbies. Collecting expensive hobbies. But when not brewing I seem to get hit with things like hockey pucks (I’m a goalie) and swords in fencing and 15th century re-enactment. This is my armour. :)

I also like to make an absolute racket with drums, guitar and bagpipes when not trying to fix my classic mini!

I don’t know where Mrs Hagrid gets her theory from?!

I was quite into fishing back in the day and used to fish our canal and a few other local places years ago but i sold all my gear when my son was born and i never got back into it.

I don't really have hobbies but got into HamSphere when lockdown hit and i am hooked.

What is HamSphere 3 & 4 - HamSphere 3 and 4.

I listen to a lot of music, mainly indie rock, classic/hard rock, punk and alt-country, but I’m partial to a bit of hip hop. I did have a music blog which got quite a lot of views thanks to retweets from Ben Lee and Ice-T but work got super hectic at my old place and I never got around to starting back up.

Before lockdown I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Weights (focusing on the main compound lifts) 3-4 times and a HIIT class on a Saturday morning. Goodness knows when I’ll get to do any of that again.

Kids take up a lot of my time as well.

Love that! Started to get really into it, then kids came along and harder to find the time, and worry about getting it wrong!

Getting it wrong can have consequences! I just love the variety and complexity of fungi; spotting one and identifying it can be a real intellectual challenge. The eating is a bonus. Only ever do it with 100% certainty but frying up a few penny buns is the best it gets. I think I cooked 20 or so different species last year. Interestingly, I find it is a great hobby for kids: it gives them something to look for on walks and also you have something to do whilst they amble along at snails pace!

The best I've had is some winter chanterelles picked on holiday in Scotland. Also some amythest decievers, hedgehog mushrooms, and my favourite just because it's so weird, the beefsteak mushroom!

Agree about getting the kids involved, just need to find the time and put the effort in.

Cooking, hillwalking, also pick mushrooms too. Only been doing that a couple of years properly, here's a bolete I got last week, pre clean up an brushing that slug off . Was in pretty good condition considering the size
