Went out with a few local mates to the pub last night. Had 4 pints or so which is a lot for a Monday, but far from being a big night.

Local pub is great. Picturesque little Cotswold pub that changes guest ales each month.

Beer was good but this morning my head felt like a split watermelon  . Hard to convince the wife that I took it easy when I'm wincing at the lights being switched on and banished the kids from the room

Why does this happen? Some wines too? I can happily drink a bottle one type and be fresh as a daisy the next day yet a glass or two of another leaves me hanging.

Ha! I know! That's what has thrown me though.
4 pints is nothing but this morning I was so rough!!

If it was homebrew I would have said fusal alcohol caused by too high a fermentation temp especially early on, but ale from a pub you would have thought not. Malt whisky gives me a banging hangover just one sniff. Mind you some mornings I can wake up with hangover symtoms without having a drink the night before.

seriously though my dad is the same, he can drink lager/beer fine but as soon as he touches C$£ling it knocks his head for six! Must be the urine in it
