I have just found a very few notes in my old recipe book. It is from 17/3/84 when I was thinking about giving up trying to make lager.

All I have is;

7lb lager malt

3oz Flaked maize

3oz Hallertau(hops)

It gave 3.5 gallons and came 2nd in the Inter Cities competition-I must have got close to a drinkable lager then.

It was the long,cold storage I often failed with.

In my case it's 'no notes at all'.
I chucked my recipe book from the 70's long after I finished, thinking that was it, and now I've started again. :doh:

How many hobbies have I done that with and then started again and usually had to re-acquire all kinds of kit at huge expense in comparison to the stuff I'd got rid of ten years before.

:rofl:

In my case my FV orange plastic dustbin with a black lid (probably made before food grade plastic was even thought of) was probably best disposed of !

If that's all you had to re-acquire, you're lucky. I've spent hundreds and hundreds buying stuff I gave away or sold for buttons. Still - serves me right for not sticking with things.
