The thing is there's loads turning up to AE when they shouldn't...
The last time I went was when my eldest son floored the youngest in martial arts and bust his lip. The instructor stopped the bleeding but advised a check up... anyway all was ok but in the AE was a family of around 8,all noisy, some eating Chinese takeaway!!,when they heard it was a few hours wait for non urgent cases, the woman who "needed" looking at threw herself on the floor and started wailing and was seen straight away!!

Was at Leighton hospital Crewe today. My father in law got a chest infection, a kidney infection then fell down the stairs yesterday, fortunately not today. He had a negative covid test on Saturday as he had a temperature. Ordinarily, I would be kicking off about the following. But who would listen, care, and what would it solve? We got him to hospital ourselves yesterday morning, they would not let us in with him (dead right) but then we didn’t hear a thing again. He called us himself last night, very confused, and had no idea where he was or what was going on. Surprised he managed to even call. Turns out he was in covid surveillance. I went to the hospital first thing today as they refused to tell us anything on the phone ( patient confidentiality they said....) and they told me he was admitted but wouldnt tell me a single thing more. After 24 hours antibiotics he’s now coherent and sounds much better but still sweet FA by way of communication from the staff to us. Another negative covid test fortunately. The staff are amazing carers but the system is very broken.
