Well after a good 30 years of making bad tasting beer and wine I've taken up homebrewing again what an amazing array of kits available. Iv done all the youngs kits from my local supplier. And was totaly amazing. Once I got back into the swing of things. I watched a few videos on YouTube. And have now completed and tasted 2 new brews I did the first was a chocolate nibs blaberries and scotch bonnet chilies porter I did give to a few friends to try and was looking for feed back which I was totaly gobsmacked they loved it. The second brew was a bourbon and maple syrup porter which I loved both batches of brew were 20pints boy am I glad iv started brewing again and love this forum.

Cheers mansemasher
Looking forward to seeing people's experience in brewing

I am also new to brewing after an extended break, was it a kit you were using or did you brew them the traditional was with the dried hops etc

I've brewed all the youngs kits Mocha, American IPA, saision oak rum ale. All are amazing, but I watched a friend brew and I got the bug to brew in the bag from now on its ideal for me as I like to experiment with different flavours

The modern kits are great but I think the clean taste you get from all grain is amazing. I find it ferments quicker, and you can drink it a lot sooner. ...and you've got endless possibilities on recipes.
