Hi,

I'm looking for a non toxic cleaner to use when cleaning brewing vessels. I have been using an alkaline chlorine based cleaner, and tried PBW today, but have decided I'd like to look for something that won't hurt the pets.

I use starsan for sanitise.

Cheers!

I'm worried about, for instance dropping PBW crystals on the floor, and the pets treading on it and then licking their paws. Similarly, when I throw stuff down the drain. I'm getting paranoid about it as a pet died from walking through a puddle of antifreeze under someone's car.

I think I'm going to go for sodium carbonate as it appears to be non toxic.

I'll do some proper research into it!

I use VWP and some normally gets on the kitchen floor. I still have all 5 of my cats. I've also caught one of them drinking from the toilet just after it had been cleaned with bleach (the toilet, not the cat)
