Had the first tasting of my latest brew today and there is absolutely no carbonation, not at all. I'm not sure what went wrong, followed the same procedures as always.

Primary- 2 weeks
Secondary- 2 weeks
Batch primed with 80g of brewing sugar
Bottled
1 week in the warm
1 week in the cool

:wha:

What could have went wrong? The beer also has a slightly sour taste. The only thing I can think is that maybe I actually forgot to add the priming solution (i was very hungover the day i bottled). Should I try re-priming bottle by bottle and then recapping?

Might be worth bringing back into the warm to start with, in case the sugars hadn't had a chance to react and create the co2 the fizz needs.

Yeah been reading up, think ill bring in back up stairs into the warm. Maybe a week wasn't enough in the warm. The cool is pretty cool after all. Hmm....never had a problem before following this schedule, not quite sure why its happened now :wha:

Note to self...... be sober when brewing...... :D

The air temps are a lot cooler these days, will probably need longer than normal in the warmth.

Unless there's no priming sugar been added...... :D :D

Surely I didn't forget to prime! This is my 1st winter btewing so maybe I have underistimated how cold my house is. Going to stick beer in my boiler room for a few weeks. See how it goes .x x xc
