Just replenishing my stocks after moving. So far I have a full batch choc stout and I've got a desperado ish beer almost ready to bottle and I'm ready to get another kit on the go so I'm after ideas. I've never made a 2 can kit. I like virtually all types of bitters ( not a fan of hobgoblin types), wheat beers, stout. So I'm open to options. Just nothing too pricy. £20-£25 tops unless it's amazing

in order my favourite kits so far have been:

Coopers tradtionalAle
coopers IPA
Coopers Canadian Blonde

any of them is worth a punt.

Make it a 2 can kit all the way. I'm currently on a Milestone Black Pearl irish stout which i'm told is absolutely gorgeous.

I've actually done so far:

Muntons Gold IPA (gorgeous)
Muntons Gold Continental Pilsner (nice, though i'm not a lager style beer fan)
Muntons Premium Gold Midas Touch Golden Ale (absolutely superb...very very satisfying)
Woodfordes Wherry (beautiful)
Woodfordes nelsons revenge (a truly superb pint)
St Peters Ruby red Ale (again, gorgeous)

So many to choose from and so little time to do them all. I'm in the process of buying more FVs....I aim to have about 4 on the go at any given time.

The millstones black pearl is supposed to be a good one, I've heard good things about as well as the Wherry. Think I'll get a Wherry first then the black pearl. Thanks for the advice. Anyone ever done a wheat beer 2 can kit.

I've got the milestone raspberry wheat beer kit ready to do at some point... Waiting for my current brews to finish and then need decide what to brew next :p Was thinking of doing a lager first, but when I done the raspberry wheat, I'll post a review of it afterwards :)

Muntons Smugglers just became my all-time favourite kit, based on reviews of bottles I've given out to mates. Give it a few weeks to settle and it's heaven, even the missus liked it ....which was not a good thing, 'cos it's all gone :(

A little bit dearer than the standard kits but only kit I've had fully ferment out, came out around 5% ABV. A real premium pint IMHO :D

well ive been looking at all different kits today on the internet. going to go to my LHBS and buy a few kits this weekend. this im going to start with a wherry. i spotted the headcracker and that sounds very interesting, might get one of them on the go as well id be very interested in your feedback on that. how long do you lot leave conditioning as recently ive only been giving them 2 weeks in the bottle at best as ive not had any stock and ive been getting thirsty :drink:

hense the reason for getting plenty of kits on the go

hi i have just done the brupaks wheat beer kit which is a 2 can kit and it is fantastic and way way better than the cooper wheat beer which was a bit bland. the brupak one is very much like erdinger / hoegarden well worth a go.

Why not make yourself a boiler and have a look at extract brewing, you seemed to be quite conversed now. :thumb: :thumb:

my top 10 so far

st peters ruby red
admirals reserve
colne valley bitter
aldershot ale
geordie mild
nelson revenge
st peters gold
wherry
fixby gold
coopers aussie lager

Being honest. It seems all to complicated to me. When ie got a bit of spare cash I may invest in the boiler but i want to try the 2 can kits as I've never done one and im guessing they are the same sort of quality and cost as extract without spending too much time making it.

St. Peters Ruby Red Ale Kit is an excellent 2 can kit, alternately Woodfords Wherry also gets the thumbs up !

Second on the ruby red, excellent drop so it is.
