Hi Guy and Gals,

Newish to home brewing as I started to do it 28 years ago and due to an over active brew, over eager brewer ended up staying in hospital for 10 days due to the bottle lid hitting me in the eye and causing a blood clot behind my eye!! so not done it since (eye sight okay) and using Ox-bar pet bottles 500ml now

My wife and father tipped all of the brew down the sink whilst I was in hospital, I haven't spoken to my father since and have stayed married to my wife as a punishment

Please bear with me if I ask stupid questions (and I will), only doing kits at the moment, lager & cider, but will be moving on if get any reasonable results

Only joking about not talking to my father, I usually phone him in the dead of the night and tell him I'm the grim reaper and want his soul for penance, he usually just passes me on to my mum and says it's for her :hmm:

Happy brewing.

Good evening, welcome and good luck.
I haven't been here long myself, but there seems to be more than the fair share of good guys around. Stick around and tell us of your experiments.

Cheers

Steve

hey Hollow Legs,

Just new to the site myself and brewing!!!have made a few brew kits at this stage and am a bit bored of it so am trying some of the recipes love the fact you can make alcohol outta everyday stuff you buy in supermarkets ......it promises to be a lot more fun than kits

Hope you enjoy getting back to brewing

I like this guy already.

Hi, Hollow Legs. Commiserations about losing a damned fine brew down the sink all those years ago. If you have made them suffer for 28 years, it isn't long enough. Was it a 40 pint batch? If so, I reckon they've got a bit more than a decade to go before you're quits. I too have suffered drink-related injuries - the worst being a fractured eye-socket when someone asked me whether I wanted another glass and turned round sharply - straight into the neck of a bottle of St Emilion.

I don't think it was a very good year either.

An excellent introduction, you should fit in well around here

Welcome to the forum
