Hi guys i'm new to this hobby, got a kit for my xmas and thought i would give it a go.
I have started with youngs lager which was ok, then i tried cider which i drink myself which wasn't that great.

I'm sure that after reading on this site my next batch will be a success, if you can pass on any tips before i start,it would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. :hat:

Was the cider a kit? Have a look at the (many) thread about turbocider - cheap, easy, good. But it does want a bit of age to get good - and that may be what was up with the one you did before.

yes it was a kit, i left it barreled for 2 weeks after it said in the instructions,
It seems to be watered down, so i mix it with a tin of strongbow lol as i don't want to waste alcohol :D

welcome...have a read of the How to's and the kit recipes for ideas
