Hi,
As the title says can I lay plastic corks down in a rack? - I no I can lay corked bottles down but am a little worried if they leak - has anyone had any experiances in this my plastic corked bottles are standing upright at present - I could in theory I spose lay them at a angle in a plastic storage box making sure that i raise the necks by resting the necks up on something

What do you think?

thanks again

Ken

I've bought sparkling wine with plastic tops and laid them down in the fridge and there was no leakage, but I do prefer cork for my home made brews.

its natural corks that NEED to be laid down so they dont shrink and leak. Plastic ones can be stood upright and that saves on storage space.
Home brew wines do need checking regularly tho in case you bottled a little early and gas build up starts to puch the corks out, if so you can usually push them back down and earmark those for early drinking.
