Hi Everyone,
Last year I did an epic double brewday with one of my mates and planned to do it again this year. To start with I really coudn't be bothered, I've been full of cold last few days and just wanted to lie about feeling sorry for myself. So after a slightly late start, setting up at 10, we got the first mash on the go at 11am. A lager with Saaz and Bobek, OG 1042. Second brew was a variation on my APA recipe with extra Nelson and Pacific jade, OG 1052.
Photo of halfway point when chiller sterilising in boiler for the lager and APA mashing.
Turns out my Saflager 23 was 2 months out of date but I chucked it in anyways. If its not bubbling by Monday I'll chuck another in. The APA has started fermenting nicely.
With the brews out the day we knocked up a nice beef Madras before bottling a gallon of Rosey WOW. Then settled down to enjoy the Madras and some WOW (not too bad this time round!) whilst appreciating the finer points of 'Zombie Flesh Eaters 3'. A productive day but knackered today!
Cheers,
DirtyC
