My shiny new fittings arrived so I decided to fit one to the boiler. I previously used a brass bulkhead fitting through the original Birco tap hole. Apart from taking forever to fettle to the point of no leaking it never really cut the mustard. So I bought a couple of the ss fittings from Vossy1, followed the instructions on his posting (and very easy to follow if I may say). Here's the results:

Chi ching (scratches caused by my gash filing skills)

The fittings are superb quality and because they have been properly thought out they work a treat.

Here's one with the tap fitted that I bought from The Malt Miller

and here's the final shot with hop strainer fitted. Next job is to fit the other fitting to the mash tun using Vossy1's conversion. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for posting up KG, that looks the business
Nice to see the one of the fittings in situ, looks so much better than in a cardboard box

Vossy1 do you source the materials yourself or get them in a kit and from where?
