I've been brewing on and off (mostly off) since 1975. My first brew was a bitter from Dave Line's 'Big Book of Brewing', using his all grain method, which surprisingly tasted rather good. My brewing adventures ceased for various reasons after a few months. After many years of brewing inactivity, in 1994, I discovered Graham Wheeler's 'Home Brewing', published by CAMRA, in which he gave the homebrewing industry at the time a damn good kicking. By using Graham's method of all grain brewing, and using his mashtun design, my brewing markedly improved. Again, another long period of inactivity followed until 2008 when, via the Internet, I discovered the Speidel Braumeister, which has been a real game-changer for me.
