Here's the current winner after a 6way taste test in the summer and an 8way taste test last night...
Put into a demijohn:
Short tsp tannin, 1tsp nutrient, 4tsp Morrison's sweetener (sucralose plus some maltodextrin), half sachet Young's cider yeast;
500ml Morrison's cranberry juice, 500ml water;
630ml Suma AJ concentrate and 2l of water.
After initial vigorous ferment, 500ml water.
A week or so later, topped up fully
Bottled with 5ml priming sugar per 500ml at 20 days
2 weeks warm, then left somewhere cool for 10 weeks
1.24 the apple of a 'simple' TurboCider, and around 5.8%ABV.
The sweetener isn't enough to make it a sweet cider: it just takes the edge off the dryness.
