Just joined this forum. Just about to embark upon my first homebrew activity in well over 25 years. Couldn't have been too successful last time as I guess I would have returned to it before now. Anyway, I have cleaned down all my kit and got my MJ pouches through the post. I will ensure that i am well primed before setting about it on Sunday. Hopefully the beer should be good and ready for the run into Christmas. I must say it is the bottling activity that I am most concerned about. Anyway, look forward to telling you all of my success in the weeks to come, cheers!

A big, warm welcome to you @Lowrider

I was in a similar position 6 months ago, just dipping my toe back into the water after a break of nearly 40 years.
Amazing how quickly it all comes back and how quickly the process (inluding bottling) becomes routine once you get your workflow right. The availability and diversity of ingredients and equipment nowadays knocks the old Boots kits into a cocked hat!

This forum is equally amazing - if you can't find your answer in past posts, there are tons of experienced members ready to help out.
A return to brewing is one of the best decisions I've made in a long time - trust it works out for you as well.

Another warm welcome, this place is a remarkable trove of useful information and opinion. I was in a very similar position of returning to brewing I think about a year ago after a long time away. Kits have come a long way and many taste really quite good without needing much equipment....the bottling can seem a bit of a chore agreed, but as @Merkin says, it doesn't take that long once you get going with it. Not many other hobbies out there that have such tasty and shareable outcomes as brewing ☺ .
