Just got some Galaxy hops-not used them before. Was going to try a SMSH brew, something light but might showcase the hops. Was thinking of the following:

Original Gravity (OG): 1.047 (°P): 11.7
Final Gravity (FG): 1.012 (°P): 3.1
Alcohol (ABV): 4.62 %
Colour (SRM): 5.4 (EBC): 10.6
Bitterness (IBU): 34.9 (Average)

100% Maris Otter Malt (4.5kg)

0.8 g/L Galaxy (13.8% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (Boil)
0.4 g/L Galaxy (13.8% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
0.8 g/L Galaxy (13.8% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)

Single step Infusion at 66°C for 90 Minutes. Boil for 90 Minutes

Any thoughts?

Nice simple brew to check an unknown ingredient. I like it.

If It was me I would be Putting 30-60g in at 0mins, you will get plenty of tropical fruit, kiwi citrus and passionfruit aroma and flavour with a big hit at flameout, and nob the rest in dryhopped, for the last 3 days of fermentation.

Galaxy is a great hop.

Now,how many grams of galaxy for dry hopping?

Love the taste of old golden hen because of the galaxy hops but it does lack punch and fullness of the hop so I want to try and make a brew with these, really looking forward to hearing about your results.

Dry hopped with 13g for a week. Just cracked a cheeky bottle-still a little bitter but it is very green, but definitely much fruitier than golden hen. Will see how it matures but will get another batch on soon.
