Thinking of copying the Nobgoblin recipe somebody posted on here, but adding nettles to the boil and/or dry-nettling (with the usual hops) :D

I know the river cottage lot did nettle "ale" but that was just sugar and nettles boiled up, which seems a bit gash.

Thoughts?

I did a nettle ale a few years ago.

It was the standard old recipe you find online with nettle tops ( I assume your aware not to use lower leaves), ginger, sugar and yeast. It was pretty good stuff, but not like a normal beer.

I can't see using nettles in a proper beer adding much to it though. Do let us know how it goes if you do though.
