Nettle Beer

I am going to make a batch of nettle beer, I have the nettles washed and ready, the recipe calls for 8 liters of nettles. Obviously I need to use a measuring jug but do I just fill with nettles loose to the top or do I have to pack them in?

Can you find a recipe that measures the nettles in grams?

ended up working out from several other recipes that you dont pack them in! worked out I had picked just the right amount (1 carrier bag full!) It's bubbling away as we speak, should be ready for bottling in about a week!

It's in the bottles now, just waiting to see how it turns out! was still pretty sweet tasting when I bottled it so hoping it mellows a bit more!
