Hello.
Having mainly done a fair few kit brews and a very small batch of all grain thanks to clibit's how to guide, i fancy trying something on a larger scale.
Browsing ebay last week i stumbled across Nisbets ebay page and brought a reconditioned 30l Buffalo boiler for a very reasonable £35.
However, i am not too sure about how best to put it too use. My first thought was to use the boiler to heat up my water, then mash in a mash tun (yet to be brought) and then back in the boiler?
However, having never used any boiler before, can i use it straight out of the box? I have read about electrical mods which some people do, but dont know if its completely necessary. Also is the tap which comes with the boiler suitable? (i see some people change it to a ball valve)
Just not really sure the best way to go with it, i really want to try and keep costs down. any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
