Need advice on my first brew

Have just bought my first kit woodies ale have just transferred it to the barrel and noticed a thick gunge in the bottom of the fermenter is this normal PLEASE HELP

Yes its normal, dont worry about it. when you transfer it try not to take any of the (GUNK) with the beer.

Yes perfectly Normal :thumb: It's the yeast that has now finished fermenting the beer and dropped out of suspension, as Cb says you want to leave this behind to help end up with a clear beer sooner :

mick - I save some of the yeast from my brews (a little tub) and use it to bake bread and make pizza dough :thumb:
