Just thourght i would show you all my new toy. Picked this up last Saturday, got it off forum member Moley. He also kindly donated some of his beers, and very nice they are as well.
A nice looking 10 gallon boiler, complete with hop strainer and 2 Backer elements.

As you can see its a monster, well almost as big as my 3 year old.

Did think i was going to have problems locating some Backa leads, but yet again Vossy comes good. He put a couple in the post for me yesterday and they arrived today. Thanks again mate.

Was planning on testing it today, and brewing tomorrow. But after recently having the house re-wired and now having the plasterers in, it looks like ill have to wait till next saturday or sunday to try this monster out.

Nice one Dave and good of Moley to sell it on :thumb:

I take its going to be your boiler with the burco as the HLT or will it be other way round?

A bit of a shame that the leads you thought you'd got had been thrown out, no names mentioned  but nice one Vossy :thumb:

From those graduations you could probably boil 12-12.5 gallons quite safely.

Yes mate its going to be the boiler, as for the Burco, i think i might just leave that a a spare. And continue using the Electrum as the HLT, or i might even convert it into a nice shinie MT.

A few quid changed hands, not a lot, but I've already got a 60 litre stock pot and am happy boiling on gas, so I was probably never going to use it. I just hope it works, I had it full to the brim with cleaner solution and it's got a bloody good tap on it, but I never actually plugged it in.

Moley the tap alone is worth almost as much as what i paid you for it.

Damn, I knew I should have asked for more

Seriously though, I wasn't going to use it, I'm glad you're putting it back into service, and with that and a cask breather which James has bought off me, I've got my diesel money back for that little jaunt.

I just got a text message from Dave and testing it with water he's got a vigorous boil on two elements and held a rolling boil on one.
