What were your Homebrewing highlights, be they events, meetings, beers, yeast malt hops, liquor treatment, process, shiny stainless, mango chutney? :)

Going all grain was THE highlight for 2012, closely followed by the reaction my family had to my last extract brew when it was presented during christmas, I ended up with quite a few empty bottles and a request for more for next year, guess that's September 2013's brewing sorted out then :)

For me it was certainly making the move to all grain in the summer. Shortly after I moved from dried yeast to liquid yeast and since then I've been brewing almost every week. I love it. I think the big move in 2013 will be a bigger setup. Possibly 60L!

Certainly using Cascade hops has been a biggy this year. I read the description on the forum and tried it, Luscious :thumb:
Next year I want to get hold of some Nelson Sauvin. I had a couple of pints of Thwaites Half Nelson which I guessed must be half NS. It's a stonking beer but seems to be seasonal, ie. summer only.

Not had any beer with the Nelson Sauvin in yet, what does it bring to the party? 'Discovered' Cascade and used them a couple of times this year, if NS are that good then I'll put them on my hops to use list for 2013 :)

Going all grain and the discovery of American hops.

I love'em to bits.

Next year hopefully cornies will be on the agenda.

But I wish I had a cellar (Santa didn't provide me with one this year the b@5t4rd!)

Happy new year everyone.

Going AG has to be the highlight but closely followed was the Hot Break weekend. Looking forward to 2013 and the Spring Thing. But what I really really want is one of these:
