So i did my first AG last night, an English IPA, BIAB method, and I'm happy to say everything went without a hitch (so far anyway.)
Just one question tho, as I dont yet have a wort chiller, I left it overnight to cool and pitched the yeast this morning and its already bubbling away nicely.
My question is, how long should I have left the hop bag in the wort when it was cooling?
I wasn't sure if I should have left it in all night so I didn't, I took it out after about 4 hours at which point the wort was about 40°C.
Any advice would be welcome, cheers.
