At a recent NCBA meeting, a chap was kind enough to give me a small jar of Murphys Dry Liquor Salts.
Try as I might, I cannot find any instructions for use thereof.

If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks in advance.

Reduce your alkalinity to below 30 (It probably already is) and then throw a tsp into the mash liquor and another into the boil . . . . It can get a lot more complex than that though

Even more complex???...........don't I know this :wha:

Thanks as ever Aleman.

I'm using CRS to reduce the alkalinity to less than 30ppm. So I'll continue to do this and just add the Murphys DLS as you suggest.

I'm assuming from this, that DLS is a mixture of gypsum, epsom salts, calcium chloride and common salt??

FYI - my usual proceedure - test water with Salifert to work out CRS dose, then I use THBF water treatment calculator to get my gypsum additions. I don't add anything else.
