Hello peeps,

could you guys n girls give me a verdict on the muntons kits.

so far I have done a coopers lager, and a youngs pear cider, looking to do a proper ale type.

looking at the smugglers ale or the porters, are these any good, what they like value for money wise, are they worth the extra, see the smugglers is 20 or quid, quite a difference to the standard kit prices.

your comments would be appreciated

Hiya,

I've just done one of these:
http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/aca ... upaks.html

It may only be 10ltr but you can taste the difference. Your supplied with a can of malt extract, a giant teabag of hops and another teabag of grain so its much more like extract brewing. You just have to boild a few bits together for 30mins or so. Its a small step up from kit brews and is much more satisfying and the end result is fab.

I did a Muntons 40 pint Yorkshire Bitter Beer Kit a while ago and I seem to remember it went down quite well too.

Hope this is remotely helpful
