I'm going to be buying my first bulk bag of Pale Malt. Is it worth paying extra for Fawcetts over Muntons or is there really no difference between them.

They're both reputable maltsters. I shouldn't worry, though for consistency  probably best to keep to the same supplier. That really shouldn't be a worry to the homebrewer

I've used Munton's, Fawcett's and Warminster. I can't tell any difference. £23 for a sack of Munton's MO seems pretty reasonable to me.

Doesn't sound like he's interested in supporting AG brewers at that price does it? :)

Shame

He is a real old guy that wont change ive tried to get him to order his stuff online and pay alot less but he is too stuck in his ways. He could have passed on the saving to the homebrewer :thumb:

The Worcester Hop Shop has Muntons at £23 a sack and The Malt Miller has Fawcetts at £25 just wondered if there was a difference. My normal supplier doesnt list bulk sacks and im not buying 25kg at £1.53 a kilo.
