My big pot of harvested Nottingham and washed yeast which i was planning on using next week has developed its own culture of white hair, so I can't use it. So I went to my LHBS who is out of Nottingham and says they can't get any but assured me that Muntons Gold is in actual fact Nottingham. Is this true?

My other option is some Windsor which I have never used and I was trying to recreate my best beer to date which used Nottingham. At a stretch i could culture up some yeast from sediment in a bottle but I fear I won't have enough by Monday to pitch into 60l.

:hmm: It certainly used to be :hmm: I had heard that it had changed though . . .There is always Gervin Ale Yeast though which is Nottingham
