Munich Malt

I have just picked up 3kg of Munich this afternoon along with quite a bit of Maris Otter, now to put it simply If I put the two bags together Maris Otter and Munich I can not notice any difference in the two malts at all, Is this right, or should the Munich be noticeably darker, I have never used munich before.

Munich is only slightly darker than pale, but should taste different . . . much more maltier . . . my base grain of choice in milds, but don't tell anyone
