Have a Wherry Real Ale that has been sat in FV for 16 days, and can't shift it until some extra mini kegs turn up later this week.

I could pop out and buy a second FV and rack it into that until kegging, would this help with clearing at all, or is it just as well to leave it where it is and put straight into keg?

Personally i would transfer straight into keg when it has cleared a bit, but i only use 1 fv for brewing & never bother with secondary although i have a number of fv's if i wanted to, it just works for me. ken.

Some people will tell you to rack it off, others will say leave it as it is. Personally I would wait and keg directly from primary, but have a read of this thread
