Hello all, new member and new cider brewer here. I've set my first batch up and it seems to be fermenting away happily. However I had a second batch of apple juice that has developed a layer of mould at the top before I could set it fermenting. The juice was pressed a couple of days ago and I have not added yeast or treated with campden tablets yet. I have no idea if this is a problem, or what I should do if it is. Can I siphon off the juice beneath or and still use it? Or do I even need to do anything and I'm panicking over nothing.
