Equipment For Sale Most of a keezer

Hi there,

I decided to change up my garage dispensing so am getting rid of my keezer.

It's basically a 102l chest freezer that fits 4 kegs (as long as they are tall ones) with a (admittedly ugly but effective) collar and 4x10cm shanks.

I had it with an STC-1000 on but I've taken that to the new model along with the taps, gas, and gas line.

I've put some pictures below of it in action and it now as it is ready to go.

Any questions let me know, I'm in Sheffield and am looking for £60

Dimensions pls with and without collar. I've not got loads of space but this might well work.

@SheffieldBrew what's the reason for getting rid? Just an upgrade or something bugging you.

External dimensions. I'll trust you on the internals having had 4 kegs on it.

Without the collar it's 55cm*55cm*83cm (photos attached)

I've taken the collar off so don't have exact measurements but it'll add the width of a scaffold board to each side so call it 60x60 and then probably another 15cm in height so best estimate 60x60x100 (without the taps sticking out of the front).

I got a larder fridge to replace it for 3 reasons

1. Six keg space (it's a squeeze but so is 4 in this one)
2. Putting full kegs into a chest freezer is a PITA, you might be stronger than me though
3. I wanted to try a fridge rather than a freezer because I believe they're better at dealing with condensation. I'd built a little thing with cat litter (or sillica beads) in it for this one and it kept it mostly dry but it's still a freezer being kept above freezing so there was a little moisture that needed wiping before it gets unpleasant. It'll be the same as any keezer without a fan.

It has done me well and I've had hundreds of good pints out of it but I'm always tinkering with stuff and space is finite so I've got to clear some room in the garage.

Just to be 100% clear on the size though. I have fit 4 of the tall cornys in here no bother but there's no way you'll fit 4 of the short ones, it's tight.

There are also 4 small holes in the back of the collar 3 for 3/16 gas tubes as I kept my regulartors outside and 1 for the temperature probe for the stc-1000. I put about 3 layers of thin polystyrene as insulation on the collar and it seems to be pretty efficient.

This is gone now. I sold the chest freezer on its own.

If anyone has any thoughts on why folks weren't interested in this I'd be interested.

Do you think it was the size? The price? Or is it just a demand in Sheffield issue?

I'll set up a new post if anyone wants the shanks!

Suspect ilt was a demand in Sheffield issues. If you'd been in Edinburgh I would have been at your door sharpish. Built my own now tho.
