Hi guys, well i got my leaky tap sorted and the brew has sat in the warm to carbonate and today it went out to the shed to condition in the cool. Before i moved it i thought i'd draw a bit off to see how it's doing and got a lovely glass of foam! I left it to settle and got about an inch of beer from half a pint. Tried again and got the same thing. So is this something that will calm down over time or have i used to much sugar to prime it.
It's a Hambleton Bard bitter and i used 70g of sugar for 23 ltrs. The beer itself isn't fizzy just very lively.

everything you have done is probably fine , it's the crap taps .So you either get a dalex tap or get some tubing to go on the end of the tap you have and that will help .

Give it some time in the cold, the pressure will be high until some of the co2 is absorb. Give it a week or two then try again.

A week in the cool will sort it. Though you may still get a substential head. If you do, just pour as slowly as possible. once you've drawn a pint or two off it will settle until about half-way down the barrel. Then you'll need a shot of CO2 to get it out, though it will still be fine to drink.
