Hey All
My first All grain brew (BIAB, Twisted Stout from MM) is about to be transferred to a corny, and I fancy making something else to have 2 cornies giving me a choice of brews to drink. I fancy Batemans Dark Mild
23Ltr
MaltBill
Pale Malt 2660g
Crystal 410g
Black 240g
Flaked Wheat 130g
90 Min Mash
Hop Bill
Challenger 26g 90 Mins
Golding 9g 10 Mins
I have built the following shopping list on MM
Black Malt-£1.60
Crystal Malt -£1.60
Northdown-£3.06
Safale S-04-£2.10
East Kent Goldings-£3.06
Flaked Wheat-£1.50
Munich Malt-£1.60
Crisp Maris Otter 25kg-£24.00
Cost £38.52
Shipping £6.66
Total inc Shipping £46.51
The only reason I am going for a 25kg sack is that it works out at £0.96 per kilo compared to £1.60 per kilo and the tight-**** in me would rather have hassle storing it than pay £1.60 per kg.
Funds are not exactly flush, then again whose are, and that shopping list is only 0.5kg short of the next shipping price of £12.59 which I would not like to pay, but would the shopping list minus the required ingredients have enough to stretch to another brew of some kind? Or would stretching the funds now enable me to save buying more odds and ends in the future, £6.99 being the min shipping price.
Cheers
