Hi all
Has anybody had any experience with these?

There are a few different makes available so if you could recommend one that would be great.
I could see this being far more acceptable on the kitchen work top but no point if they aren't up to much.

Not personally but I am on a pub shed group on Facebook and a few have them there and like them. Some have had issue with the pump. I would get one with co2 to keep the beer fresh, also most put there kegs in a fridge for a few hours beforehand.

I was interested in them a while back but there's a severe shortage of information around about them.

There's 2 models, one with an air pump and one with cartridges but they seem to both only keep beer breath for a week according to the website and that's what put me off. I went for a Party Star tap instead but I have trouble chilling my kegs properly.

Ooh that looks like a newer model than when I was looking at them. I wonder if this claims to keep the beer fresh longer than a week.

The ones I saw were both the same as in the OP but one had an air pump and the other(which was slightly cheaper) used cartridges.

I think they say it will keep fresh for a week to be on the safe side. I have kept kegs under co2 for weeks using the party star and it's the same concept

The Party Star claims to keep beer fresh for 3 months though (I've never tested it that long but did have a keg that kept for over a month and stayed fresh), I assumed with the Klarstein only claiming a week then it must work slightly differently.

yup! i ebayed a Morphy Richards version, dont buy new buy 2nd use via an auction and set a bid limit circa ��£40-��£50 delivered.. folk buy em and then discover a limited supply of commercial minikegs and get bored quickly..

inside you get simple air pocket insulation a contact peltier to chill the brew with an ad hoc 0-10 type dial control run of a dc power brick and a good quality party tap with regulated co2 supply from co2 bulbs, more control than a simple c02 injector as you can turn the co2 on/off with a control knob..

much more popular on the continent pe prepared to search at the back of the manual (if included) for the english language text..

when ebaying for a 2nd use 'bargain' you need to be imaginative to find em all as some folk dont quite know what to call em

ps about a month after fathers day and christmas is a good time to find unwanted gifts ebayed

The official Klarstein website has them for the same price. It looks like it is a new model, and no mention of 7 day shelf life!

Gas goings in one end and through the middle of the Tee, into the keg pushing down on the beer which goes into a pipe back up though the tee and out the other side.

Parts wise I think it would cost �£15-20 for everything bar the gas, looking for a co2 bike pump with a control on it thou and there arount the �£20-�£25 mark making it too expensive compared to the party star.
