Can anybody let me know of any experience of the following mini keg dispenser which takes CO2 bulbs and has a tap to fit Mini kegs?

I am really considering buying one this weekend.

your thoughts are much appreciated.

I used this type of dispenser- I got a year of hard use out of it before it died. Leyland homebrew stock a sturdier version (with more metal than plastic parts) called a Party Star. It has a longer dispensing pipe which gives a lovely tight head.Cost about the same as well.

I have one and use 4 barrels. Works well, but i did have a problem with my first one. I was a bit heavy handed screwing on the pipe that goes into the top of the barrel and it split. Cost me another £4 to get a replacement. I genrally use about one co2 bulb per barrel but that will depend on how conditioned you are. We genrally use them to take away in the caravan. 5lt is a good size for a weekend and are easy to pack in the car. I agree they are a bit plasticy and would reccomend the more sturdy versioon which I bought after i broke the first one. All in all though genrally pleased.

My keg dispenser-about £20 from Ebay. Needed a bit of modding & duct tape but an absolute bargain.

Have any of you come across this and or used it? I saw it in in my local HBS and it seemed to have a number of significant features that take it beyond mini kegs. http://www.goodlifehomebrew.com/tap-a-d ... system.php

My OH bought me one for my birthday. They do pour a lovely pint.

I took it on holiday ,but you need to be careful transporting it , the tap is easily moved.
