When i first started, the guy in the homebrew shop said milton fluid is no good for sterilizing wine/beer making equipment as its not harsh enough.

A friend at work has always used it (ten years plus)and had no problems.

My thinking is, if its ok to kill bacteria for a babys bottle, surely it'll kill bacteria on my hb equip!?

Coz of work commitments, i cant get to the homebrew shop or wilko til 30th aug, and i dont have much sterilizer left.

any ideas??? :?

Yes it can be used . . . but after you throw away 3 or 4 batches of TCP tasting beer you will realise that it is meant for surface cleansing nappie sanitising and what not, and use the propper stuff.

thanks guys, thats the same advice i got from the bloke in the shop!!

just i'm sure an old brewzer kit i had told me to buymilton fluid... cant remember now!

Just i wanted to bottle a bitter kit, by the weekend it will have sat in the fv for 14 days!!
