Has anyone here got those metal sheds with the sliding doors etc..
How bad is the condensation on the roof? Have you found a way of stopping it?
This isn't for brewing but use as a shed, my dad has got one but has said they drip something rotten and wet all of the summer gear etc.
I'm looking for a new shed and at 10 x 10 wood ones are a fortune but if the half price metal one makes things wetter than outside i'd rather pay for the wood.

Been working in various sheds and buildings for years... Stick with wood is my recommendation, metal sweats like Pavarotti's Gravedigger. You can get some roof sheets that are non drip but they are covered in a wooly undercoating.

Jim is right i used to work in greenhouses for years and when the roof vents were open there were no drips. On the other hand though when they were closed its was soaking.

I was thinking ventilation was the key. I might have a play with my dads first before commiting to either.
I'm thinking the van type vents that spin with wind might be good on the very top of the Apex.

We had some metal nissan huts that we used for lambing and the way we kept them non-drip was to make sure there was a through draft , vents at either end . We currently have pigs in metal arks , sows with 10 plus piglets - thats a lot of steamy breath -and through ventilation means no significant dripping .

I think you will always be subject to some condensation with the metal roof being warm inside and cold out , but think about vans . They are just metal boxes and if you spend the night in an unpaneled one it drips . But its dealt with in camper vans - have a look at how they are built . One transit we had for sound system work we spray-glued carpet inside the roof and had louvre vents either side , no condensation . Maybe the same could be done with polystyrene sheets , thats how metal roof mobile homes are built , metal/polystyrene/hardboad .

What are you planning on keeping in it my shed on the side of the house does get a bit of condensation but its not over the top

Mainly All the Spares for the Bee hives and stuff for garden Ed as in the chairs etc so don't want them wet
