Hello all where are all the cooling experts because sadly my maxi 310 cooler has stopped cooling but sounds as if it's running as normal but the ice tank isn't cooling. The thermostat is working Fan is working the compressor is running does this sound like a gas leak. Was wanting to make beer but probably need to buy another beer cooler now first.

If it is a gas leak and you can find the leak, you could solder it up and get it regassed at a garage who deals with air-conditioning. I'm told they only chage a small amount for regassing a system :thumb:

I wouldn't have a clue how to find the leak it all look's in good shape except for a little rust on the condenser(that little radiator that the fan cools)

Won't there be a gas bleed valve or a place to attach a gas re-charger?
Might be worth covering the nut/valve with a soap solution, then slacken the nut/valve off, and watch for bubbles, JIC it's not a gas fault :hmm:
If there is no gas you could try and re-pressurise with air through the valve, and then check the lines for leaks.

Sounds good V - If you find that the gas has gone, don't run the compressor too long as the liquified gas which is usually there is a lubricant for the compressor pump
