Kind of like a Polish Challenger. I used them for a bitter a couple of years ago and they were fine but I'm unsure that I would ever get through 5kg of then.

never used them but on my wishlist of hops i wanna try, have a great looking set of aroma characteristics for strong malty beers.
Would happily take a kilo or so off ur hands, should last me a while

Some technical info on your new toy. ;)

Marynka has been registered for agricultural production in late 80's by IUNG institute in Pulawy. It has been breed to replace Brewer's Gold and Northern Brewer hops as bittering hop. The aim was cleaner flavour and more pleasant aroma, plus higher resistance to verticilium wilt and mildew. The final variety is a cross between Brewer's Gold, and 2nd gen cross of Polish wild hop female and Yugoslavian male.

It has been great success, effectively wiping out the whole BG and NB production in Poland in 4 years time.

:-(

That's terrible, I really like Brewer's Gold as an aroma hop. Plus it is one of the main hops in the lineage of so many of the famous hops... at least centennial, marynka, northern brewer, galena, chinook, horizon, sorachi ace and nugget...
