Started this on Thursday (4th Feb) in my brew chamber/fridge.
It's very vigorous, had to clean the floor of the brew chamber/fridge and it's flowing out the airlock. Put a towel under the FV, also seems to be running down the side of the FV from a small spot.

Never had this before, this is my 10th brew.
Was in the back of my mind as I was doing this too use my Cooper's FV with the Krausen Kollar, wished I had now 😭

Let us know how it turns out. I have a Mangrove Jacks Pink Grapefruit IPA in my FV for a week now. It was OK, it did not flow up through the airlock. But my previous brew, a Coopers Wheat Beer had a very vigorous fermentation and came up through the airlock.

My Mangrove Jacks hefeweizen did that, every hefeweizen I’ve tried does it haha. I was guided to the joys and saviour that are blow off tubes from a member here. Definitely worthwhile for the more lively ones.

I tried the Coopers Hefe Wheat at the weekend and I was really impressed. It turned out great. How did the Mangrove Jacks hefeweizen turn out?

Excellent, lots of banana but I put that down to fermenting it at around 24-22 degrees (deliberately) then dropping to 18-20. I prefer more of the banana character in a hefeweizen.

I found for the best results was to ferment it for 2 weeks as it didn’t hit FG until about day 12. Other than that it is the best kit one out there.
