Manchester city centre pub recommendations

Hi guys,

Bit short notice but I’m in Manchester tomorrow night, staying near Piccadilly Station. Will need a few pints - any recommendations of good pubs/bars/brewpubs near that area?

You're just round the corner from cloudwater barel store but unfortunately only open Wednesday to Sunday. There's the Piccadilly tap right outside the station. Port St beer house not far. But my fave is Cafe beermoth about 10min walk into the Centre. You could also see what other brew taps are open, not many I don't think on a Monday night. Have fun

The Seven Oaks on Nicholas Street - through Chinatown. Friendly; Tim Taylor's Boltmaker on tap (£4.50) and 500ml bottles of Budweiser Budvar for £3 each.
On Portland Street - the smallest pub in Europe - The Circus. Very quirky but Dizzy Blonde on tap at £3.50 a pint.
I never miss a visit to The Molly House on Richmond Street, near the junction with Sackville Street - always a great selection of guest real ales on tap.

I want even hammered, just looks like the right pub and right area. Pricy but great selection.
If you like vietmanese food then I can give vague directions too..

If you need to eat somewhere also, 20 minute walk over to the Marble Arch for great food and beer, then amble back via the Smithfield Tavern, Bar Fringe, Crown and Kettle, Port Street. 4hr walk back.

cheers guys, we’re giving port st beer house a try, snake eyes 3.6%

Would definitely recommend Port Street Brew House, great selection of beers. We tried Black Iris Brewery - Snake eyes 3.8%, Red Willow - Shameless IPA 5.9% and a Galaxy pale ale 5% (I forget the brewery). Will definitely return! Cheers

If you go again, I'd recommend The Pilcrow (as well as the Smithfield, Café Beermoth mentioned earlier). It usually has a great selection of Keg & Cask beer. It's also well located a few minutes walk from Victoria Station, the Arndale and Northern Quarter.

I hear good things about The Brink, but haven't been yet.
