The mystery hops are good fun. Usually get a good mixture and some stuff you'd likely not usually gravitate towards.

I am thinking about a nice Black IPA with sabro talus and Chinook

As a NEIPA lover, Ekuanot and Sabro are some of my faves.

Sabro has a lovely coconut taste, so would work well in a Stout too.

I might try them both in a black IPA. I have went of Neipa all together.

Talus is bloody lovely too. I'd be tempted to go Chinook and Talus in a Black IPA.

A bit disappointed with the mystery hop this time around. I needed some other stuff but I added 3 mystery hops. Received today and I got 3 packets of the same hops, Pacific sunrise. The reviews on this hop are not great, basically described as the worst NZ hop on the market. I liked the mystery hop as it force's me to use something different that maybe I wouldn't normally order.
Open to ideas on how to use 300g of Pacific sunrise

I'd be inclined to brew a NZ Pilsner with them. You'll have loads left over to do a NEIPA with them too. If they don't stand alone well in the Pilsner, then at least in a NEIPA you could use something more bold to complement them.

I have 100g of Motueka that I had planned to use in a modern saison. I wonder how Pacific sunrise would go in a saison. Or maybe pair the both in a NZ pale. Other hops available is Chinook, challenger, EKG and first gold

I might do a black ipa, I've been meaning to try that sometimes. :)

I got a Sabro, a pacific sunrise and 3 bru-1. Pina colada ipa i think, I will be interested to see what ideas come up for the pacific sunrise.
